After the Los Angeles Clippers‘ Twitter account fired unnecessary shots at the Memphis Grizzlies, Tony Allen wants their social media manager fired.

One of the great things about team Twitter accounts, is that they are funny and try to provide great gif replies and other hilarious videos. Sometimes however, a team’s Twitter will go overboard, such as the Rockets’ Twitter after beating the Mavericks in the playoffs, and it leads to repercussions.

Well when the Clippers lost to the Warriors on Wednesday, they thought they would make themselves look better by taking shots at another team that they weren’t even playing. After they loss, in a tweet that has since been deleted, the Clippers’ Twitter used the hashtag after the final score “#didntloseby50” and outraged many people.

Earlier this morning, the Grizzlies’ Twitter had a hashtag of their own.

That was basically the Grizzlies’ nice way of saying, well you know.

Now, Memphis Grizzlies guard, Tony Allen, wants the social media manager for the Clippers gone. Speaking to Commercial Appeal, Allen couldn’t believe the Clippers’ Twitter was so proud of losing and wasn’t happy by the shot they took.

"“You ever seen the movie ‘White Men Can’t Jump’? It’s like those bothers would rather look good in a loss and look bad in a win.Whoever is in charge of their Twitter should be fired. I’ve never seen anybody broadcast losing. Who’s proud of losing — whether it’s by one, two three or 50? Enough said.”"

Allen has a point, it doesn’t matter if you lose by one point or 50, the losses all count the same in the record book. No one should be proud of losing and the Clippers’ social media manager should have to face the same scrutiny that others have had for their poor taste in Tweets.

It was really just a high and mighty way of the Clippers’ social media manager trying to snobbishly feel better about his team after a loss.

Here’s a hint: It was a really bad look on him and the team. Should there be repercussions as a result of the cheap shot? Tony Allen thinks so, and there are probably a lot of people that feel the same way.
