Dorial Green-Beckham-Tennessee Titans

The Titans made a coaching move this week replacing Ken Whisenhunt with Mike Malarkey (on an interim basis).  That wasn’t the only transition happening in Tennessee this week, though, as Marcus Mariota returned under center after missing two weeks with an injury and Kendall Wright was lost to his injury sustained last week.

With Mariota back at QB, the Titans passing game should pick up some steam as they take on the Saints today who allowed Eli Manning to have a huge game last week in New Orleans. Mariota will need receivers to step up, and one played the Titans will look to is Dorial Green-Beckham their second round pick out of Oklahoma.  DGB has seven catches not he season for 104 yards and a pair of touchdowns.  Over half that production came last week when he pulled in three catches for 57 yards.

With Wright out, Green-Beckham has a chance to emerge as the top WR option for Mariota especially in the red zone where his 6’5″ frame should give him the advantage on jump balls.  Green-Beckham will need to step up his blocking game after getting called out this week by new coach Mularkey, but if he does that he’ll get enough work to be a factor.

Coming into week 9, Green-Beckham is owned in less than 10% of ESPN leagues and is very affordable on DraftKings (3,100) and FanDuel (4,900). If you are looking for a rookie stepping into a bigger role, Green-Beckham has enough upside to definitely consider.
