2. Cleveland Cavaliers

We can all agree the Cleveland Cavaliers are still the favorite to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals. After a rough start to last season, the Cavs finally caught on and ended up with a 53-29 record.

Cleveland ran through the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks before finally falling to the Golden State Warriors in the finals. 4-2. However, the Cavs had to play the final three rounds of the postseason without Kevin Love because Kelly Olynyk dislocated Love’s shoulder in the first round.

And a knee injury kept Kyrie Irving from making an impact in the finals. Think about how different that series could have turned out if Cleveland had a healthy Love and Irving running alongside LeBron James.

Oh, yeah, James may be the biggest reason why the Cavaliers are a force to be reckoned with. Okay, so he’s definitely the reason why.

James, Love and Irving combined for 63.4 points per game last year, but there are a few more reasons why the Cavs could end up dethroning the Warriors.

Cleveland is getting Anderson Varejao back from injury. He missed all of last season . The Cavs will also have J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert for the entire year.

Well, Irving is still recovering from that knee injury, and Shumpert is going to miss a few months with a wrist injury. But they’ll be back in time for a playoff run and a chance to knock off Golden State.

Anything is possible when James is on the floor.
