QB Studs

Cam Newton-Carolina Panthers: Newton and the Panthers got an impressive win over the Packers as the continued to candidate for their legitimacy as a contender.  Newton ran for a score and finished with 57 yards on the ground while also racking up 297 yards passing with three more touchdowns.  He did have one interception, but he still looked like Superman for most of the Panthers’ big win.

Aaron Rodgers-Green Bay Packers: Although Aaron Rodgers final stat line looks good and ties him with Cam Newton and Marcus Mariota for the most points in standard scoring, the Packers looked horrible for most of their game in Carolina. Rodgers threw an interception at the end of the game when the Packers had a chance to tie the game causing him to not R-E-L-A-X while spiking a tablet on the sidelines.  However, before that play Rodgers made his fantasy owners happy by putting them in that position throwing for 369 yards and four touchdowns while running for 22 yards as well.

Drew Brees-New Orleans Saints: Brees had a great game in a losing effort to Mariota throwing for three touchdowns and 389 yards while adding a fourth score on the ground.  Brees didn’t own the NFL like he did last week throwing for seven touchdowns but he still gave his fantasy owners a nice boost.

Ben Roethlisberger-Pittsburgh Steelers: Big Ben went out (again) with a big game.  He threw for 334 yards and a pair of touchdowns before spraining his foot which will cost him at least a few weeks.  While Roethlisberger owners have to plan around another injury, at least they got a good game this week against the Raiders.

Andy Dalton-Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals stayed undefeated on Thursday night as they cruised to a win over their in-state rivals from Cleveland.  Dalton threw for three touchdowns while completing an efficient 21/27 passes for 234 yards.
