QB Sleepers

Marcus Mariota-Tennessee Titans: Getting interim coach Mike Mularkey a nice road win in his first game at the helm, Mariota returned to action after missing a two weeks and threw for 371 yards and four touchdowns.  He added a two-point conversion and ran for five yards.  While he won’t get to play New Orleans defense every week, he definitely showed more of the upside that made him such a hot sleeper play early in the season.

Derek Carr-Oakland Raiders: Carr and the Raiders came oh-so-close to knocking off the Steelers in Pittsburgh and could have pulled out a win if it wasn’t for some costly turnovers.  Carr finished with 301 yards passing and four touchdowns and is emerging as one of the best young QB’s in the NFL.

Blake Bortles-Jacksonville Jaguars: Bortles is still a work in progress as evidenced by the three costly turnovers he made against the Jets, but he also has a ton of promise and is putting up good numbers most weeks.  In week 9, Bortles threw for 381 yards (second only to Brees’s total) and there two touchdowns while also adding 32 yards rushing.

Matt Cassel-Dallas Cowboys: While he still didn’t quite do enough to get Dallas their first Romo-less win, Cassel’s final numbers were pretty solid as he threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns while adding 17 rushing yards.  Cassel actually threw four TDs but one went to the wrong team on a costly pick-6.
