Nate Washington-WR-Houston Texans (39.2%)

Nate Washington has been a great option when healthy for the Texans and his fantasy owners.  He has played ten years in the league but still has enough left in the tank to produce nice numbers.  He missed weeks five and six after leaving week 4 early, but he has gelled nicely with Brian Hoyer in the time the two of them have been part of the Houston offense.

All the way back in week 1, Hoyer connected with Washington for 105 yards on six catches, but then Hoyer lost the starting job and Washington got injured.  They didn’t reunite in the starting lineup until week 7, and when they did Washington tore up the Dolphins for 127 yards and two touchdowns on nine catches.  In week 8, Washington continued solid production with 74 yards against the Titans and another touchdown.

Washington is part of a pass-heavy attack in Houston which typically end up playing from behind.  Brian Hoyer has attempted at least 35 passes in each of the last three games and no fewer than 30 passes every game he has started this season. Washington should keep getting plenty of those chances even with the return of Cecil Shorts on the horizon.

This week, Washington and Hoyer will take on the Bengals coming out of their bye week.  It won’t be an easy matchup, but the better coverages may actually force Hoyer to target Washington more than relying on his favorite target DeAndre Hopkins.  The last few weeks have proven that Washington can be productive across from Hopkins, and there will be plenty of passes to go around this week against Cincinnati.
