25. Husky Stadium (Washington)

Not many nearly 100-year-old stadiums can stay as beautiful as Washington’s Husky Stadium has over the years, but this Lake Washington-residing venue happens to be one of the best in the Pac-12, if not the entire country.

What other stadium can say that it was the birthplace of “the wave”? The iconic sporting event tradition originated in Husky Stadium during an October 1982 contest in which the Huskies defeated Stanford. Who would have thought that this random act of Washington fandom would have lasted this long and stretched to all major sports, college and professional?

Much like its intra-city brother CenturyLink Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks and the raucous 12th man, Husky Stadium is one of the loudest in the nation, mostly because of the metal roof that traps most of the sound. In fact, in a 1992 game against Nebraska, the measured sound, according to ESPN, was over 133 decibels, the loudest ever recorded in a college football game.

Something else that this deafening fan base has that very few other colleges have to offer is the ability to use a boat to cross Lake Washington after tailgating.

Although the Huskies, under Chris Petersen, are still trying to rise above the line of average Pac-12 squads, there is so much potential with this team, especially when it can lure recruits into visiting this amazing stadium.
