24. Doak Campbell Stadium (Florida State)

Florida State has been one of the most successful college football programs since the school’s first season in 1947. Doak Campbell Stadium, also known as just ‘Doak’ by Seminoles fans, was opened in 1950 and has been home to some of the best teams in the history of the sport.

Three national champions have called this place home while three other teams that had made it to the national title game and lost have also played their home games at Doak.

When it first opened 65 years ago, the capacity was just 15,000 and now it can seat over 82,000 fans every week, making it one of the largest stadiums in the nation with one of the best winning traditions behind it.

Jimbo Fisher has the upper-hand when it comes to recruiting because of the awesome tradition at the stadium with the Seminole mascot riding in on an Appaloosa horse, nicknamed Renegade, and planting a burning spear into the field. This, along with one of the best home crowds into the nation with some intimidating chants, have led to one of the toughest places to play in the nation for opposing teams.

There’s a reason the Seminoles always seem to have one of the top recruiting classes in the country, and it’s probably because when these young kids watch a football game at Doak, they fall in love.
