16. Williams-Brice Stadium (South Carolina)

First, the South Carolina Gamecocks have been in a slump on the field in recent years, giving the fans of Williams-Brice Stadium very little to cheer about. On top of that, legendary head coach Steve Spurrier announced his resignation from the program because of his inability to get the job done as of late.

It’s going to be a little odd not seeing Spurrier roam the sidelines of Williams-Brice as he’s been there for roughly a decade. Also, he has provided the Gamecocks with five of the school’s eight all-time bowl wins – four of which have come within the past four seasons.

The Gamecocks don’t exactly have a winning tradition, per say, but Williams-Brice still has one of the better home-field advantages in all of college football.

South Carolina has put over $30 million into renovations to upgrade and update the stadium over the past decade, but the Gamecocks need to get a coach to bring the winning atmosphere to Columbia as the school has won only two conference titles since it began play in 1892.

The upper deck at Williams-Brice Stadium is known to sway during big games or exciting moments and it’s also considered one of the loudest venues in college football, often forcing opposing offenses to struggle with getting a snap off.
