Jay Ajayi-RB-Miami Dolphins (9.0%)

Ajayi has more raw talent than Draughn, but he’s behind him on my waiver wire week 11 list due to the fact that he doesn’t have as clear a path to a full workload.  Ajayi is firmly behind Lamar Miller who is carrying a heavy workload in interim coach Dan Campbell’s run-focused attack.

When Miller needs a break, though, the Dolphins are giving their rookie out of Boise State meaningful touches and Ajayi is producing some very solid results.  In week eight,  Ajayi made his NFL debut and ran for 41 yards on five carries in Buffalo.  He followed up that strong performance with 48 more yards on six carries against the Eagles this week.

There have been rumors that Ajayi’s role could increase going forward, but Miller has been playing well too capping Ajayi’s value barring injury.  He’s a nice stash in case Miller does go down, but until he seizes more touches on a weekly basis, it’s hard to play the rookie with tons of keeper upside but limited re-draft upside.

Next: Is it his turn, finally?
