Fantasy football waiver wire-Week 11 pickups
David Cobb-RB-Tennessee Titans (14.0%)
David Cobb has been a sleeper with impending upside for a long time, but he still has a grand total of zero fantasy points. Cobb first emerged as an option during preseason when he made waves and looked like he was emerging as the go-to option in the Titans’ backfield share. Unfortunately for the rookie out of Minnesota, Cobb suffered a serious calf injury in a walkthrough in preseason and was forced to go on IR.
In his extended layoff, we’ve seen Bishop Sankey, Dexter McCluster, Terrance West, and Antonio Andrews get time in the Titans’ backfield, but none have really seized the job. The most recent “primary” back was Andrews who had a big game two weeks ago running for 88 yards on 19 carries with a 23-yard reception against the Saints. Andrews wasn’t able to follow that up last week though only totaling eight yards on 11 rushes against the Panthers.
Cobb has yet to take a carry, but the job could be his if he gets the carries this week. Tennessee is playing on Thursday against the Jaguars, so if you do decide to put Cobb in the lineup you’ll need to move fast. Cobb has tons of upside, but he’s a huge wild card coming off the waiver wire week 11.
