11. Quin Snyder, Utah Jazz

Quin Snyder is on the verge of becoming the next great NBA head coach. He first made a name for himself at the collegiate level coaching the Missouri Tigers in the Big 12 back in the mid-2000s. With his new job with the Utah Jazz, he has way more talent than Kareem Rush on his roster.

Snyder played collegiately at Duke for Mike Krzyzewski. He’s also learned under NBA coaches like Larry Brown, Mike Brown, and Mike Budenholzer. With his collegiate background, he was a perfect candidate to help get this upstart Utah Jazz team on the map.

Under Snyder, Utah is developing a defense-first mentality, playing a ferocious brand of basketball in the paint and around the glass. With terrific bigs like center Rudy Gobert and power forward Derrick Favors, it’s easy to see why the Utah Jazz have the 8th best defensive team rating in the NBA (100.3).

Snyder’s player development program, stemming from concepts he learned while in Atlanta in 2013-14, has led many to believe that the Utah Jazz will not only contend but will make one of the eight Western Conference Playoff spots in 2016.

Since it won’t take 50 wins to get the eighth seed, Utah has as good of a chance as anybody to get back into the postseason. As Utah comes more into its own this season, it will become painfully obvious just how good of a head coach Quin Snyder is for the Jazz.
