(6-10). Previous: . Houston Rockets. 4. team. 169.
What in the world is happening in Houston?

Yes, the Rockets “won” on Friday night, but simply outlasting the Sixers after trailing in the fourth quarter at home is indefensible. Even with that victory, Houston sits at just 6-10 on the year, and the firing of Kevin McHale does not appear to have fixed anything with Daryl Morey’s team. The defense is deplorable (106.3 points allowed per 100), the offense is anything but good (98.8 points per 100) and the Rockets are underachieving in every way.

Seems like the profile of a tanking team to me.

3. team. 147.
It seems funny to suggest that Brooklyn is “playing better” at 3-12 on the year, but it really is true. To be honest, the Nets aren’t abjectly horrible on the floor, and they have only been outscored by 7.2 points per 100 in the last six games, which is a figure that ranks them outside the bottom five of the NBA.

Still, no one actually enjoys watching the Brooklyn Nets right now, and that has to be factored in to some degree. There is very little chance of Brooklyn challenging seriously for the worst record in the East, but at the same time, it is hard to imagine the Nets finishing anywhere but 14th in the conference.
.
