Philadelphia Eagles. 28. team. 54. . (4-7). Previous:

The Philadelphia Eagles are spiraling out of control and it might cost head coach Chip Kelly his job. The Eagles have lost three straight games, and given up 45 points in each of the last two games.

While giving up 45 points might never be understandable, it certainly would be easier to swallow if the Eagles had done so to top teams in the league. Instead the Eagles gave up 45 points to the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Detroit Lions.

To compound issues, the Eagles have been without starting quarterback Sam Bradford, who never really seemed like a fit in Kelly’s offense, which has given the immortal Mark Sanchez another shot at starting in the NFL once again.

This loss doesn’t fall on Sanchez’s shoulders though. The Lions torched the Eagles defense, Matthew Stafford throwing five touchdowns, three of which were caught by Calvin Johnson.

There are also reports that the Kelly has lost the team and that players are particularly unmotivated to play or lay it on the line for him. It’s hard to argue given the results on the field during the Thanksgiving day game.

But still the Eagles aren’t out of the NFC East title race if you can believe that.
