Anquan Boldin-WR-San Francisco 49ers (48.6%)

Boldin was having a very disappointing season with Colin Kaepernick’s struggles under center, but things got much better for the receiver with  the team’s move to Blaine Gabbert.  Gabbert hasn’t been great, but he definitely relies heavily on Boldin and makes the possession receiver a solid play as a WR2 or flex option going forward.

Boldin has had two almost identical stat lines in Gabbert’s two starts.  In week 11 against the Seahawks, Boldin hauled in five catches for 93 yards and matched that total this week with 93 yards against the Cardinals on eight catches.  He hasn’t been able to get into the end zone yet with Gabbert, but he has been targeted 18 times in the two games and should keep producing solid numbers as long as so many passes keep coming his way.

Boldin may not have as high a ceiling as some other waiver wire week 13 options at receiver, but his low risk makes him a very nice safe pickup going forward.  This week, Boldin and Blaine take on the Bears in Chicago before stopping in Cleveland to take on the Browns.  Both of those matchups are favorable ones for Boldin so look for him to keep producing in the coming weeks.
