The Raiders need help on defense, and their secondary in particular. Charles Woodson isn’t going to play forever, after all. If no top-tier corners or safeties are in play, look for Oakland to find at least some kind of help on that side of the ball. Derek Carr has plenty of weapons on offense; the team needs to make stops.

Add Tre’Davious White to the long list of players to come out of “DBU,” er LSU. White is set to join the likes of Patrick Peterson, Jalen Collins, Morris Claiborne, Tyrann Matthieu, Eric Reid and other Tigers to roam the secondary in the National Football League.

To say that White is battle-tested would be a gross understatement. He’s seen some of the best receivers in college football during his time at LSU – Laquon Treadwell, Amari Cooper, Speedy Noil, et al. Beyond that, he’s faced every scheme from a traditional pro-style run down your throat, to the spread and shred. He’s well-versed at game plan adjustments.

White plays taller than his 5’11 frame and can lock down a team’s top receiver. He play physically and isn’t afraid to bump receivers off their routes.
