They’re good, they’re bad, they’re good again. Is there a more inconsistent team in the National Football League than the Kansas City Chiefs? Probably, but there are few more maddening. With a talented defense, look for Andy Reid to bolster up his offense with either another playmaker – Jamaal Charles is on the road to breaking down, and the receiving corps could be better – or under center. Alex Smith is nice, but Reid has just about squeezed every bit of juice from that lemon. Besides, what’s that old adage about nice guys?

Texas A&M has become a pipeline for elite offensive line talent in recent years, a trend that continued during the 2015 NFL Draft when Cedric Ogbuehi was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengal with the 23rd overall pick.

All signs point towards the tradition staying alive in 2016, as redshirt junior Germain Ifedi gives Texas A&M an excellent opportunity to extend its streak of offensive lineman drafted in the first round to four years.

The 6-foot-5, 325 pound offensive tackle has been a starter for the Aggies since his freshman season, and nearly bolted for the NFL Draft in 2015. Ifedi graded out as a second-round pick, though, and opted to return to College Station for his junior season.

The decision to return has helped him improve his draft stock. His elite pass-blocking ability has been put on display, as quarterback Kyle Allen has been able to sit back in the pocket and deliver strikes to his receivers. The Texas A&M offense has been wobbly, but Ifedi has still looked impressive.
