With an aging quarterback under center, and a running back corps that’s an equal mix of young-but-fragile and old-but-sometimes-explosive, the Cardinals need help on offense. They’re solid when Carson Palmer is under center, but protecting him and nicked up Andre Ellington will go a long way to bolster the team’s success.

Tyler Johnstone is mobile, adaptable, and will bolster any porous line. For teams whose offenses are stuck in neutral he can help open up holes to get things rolling.

Johnstone has had injury concerns – mainly his knee in 2014 – and his draft stock has slid a little bit as the college football has commenced. Some scouts worry that he has a lack of core power and plays too upright.

But then again, he’s played under a coach who is currently in the National Football League (hello, Chip Kelly), meaning the reviews will likely go up for the tackle. He has the intangibles to fit into any system schematically.
