Eon Wants Daniel Craig Back for Bond 25
By Alex Brannan
Daniel Craig appears on the fence about returning for another James Bond film, but producers certainly want him to return.
Daniel Craig made waves with comments in Time Out London that he would rather “slit his own wrists” than return to reprise his role in Bond after Spectre.
With his return in question, much speculation has circulated about what actors could replace James Bond in future installments. Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, however, wants to keep Craig.
Craig has played the MI6 secret agent on four previous occasions, beginning in 2006 with Casino Royale. His films have been received with mixed reception, with Casino Royale and Skyfall garnering much acclaim.
Craig’s most recent Bond films, Spectre and Skyfall, are the highest grossing films in the franchise.

In her interview with 20 Minuten, Broccoli stated that she hopes the production of Bond 25 can “continue with Craig … I love him,” and that she would “try her best to keep him on.”
Broccoli is the daughter of original James Bond producer Albert R. “Cubby” Broccoli. She has acted as producer since the Pierce Brosnan era of James Bond.
With this urgency from Broccoli to keep Craig on board for the production of the next Bond film, it seems almost certain that Craig will return for at least one more picture.
The hope is that Craig’s final Bond film will be a satisfying farewell for the actor. Spectre, in one way, is a perfect exit for Craig, as it encapsulates his entire run as the spy into one centered package. However, the film as a whole is a rather tepid Bond film. It has received mixed reviews, and it suffers from a lackluster plot.
Here’s hoping that Craig’s (most likely) final Bond film will be a quality last hurrah.
