Memphis Grizzlies

If Pau Gasol is looking to head somewhere that can pay him and play competitive basketball, then why not back at home with his old team alongside his brother? Just think of the two Gasol brothers playing next to each other every night.

It would be a dream for the Grizzlies’ fans and people who have dreamed of seeing the two team up in the NBA. They play together for Spain’s national team, so why not bring they’re international success to the NBA?

Memphis has the money in 2016-2017. They are currently on the books for just over $52.5 million. While Zach Randolph would still be on the roster, he would also be in the final year of his contract, which as an expiring contract, could be valuable to another team. He could also be a great addition for a team needing a big man.

Gasol will always go down as one of the all-time great Grizzlies and returning home would make for one of the best stories in the NBA. He could spell time for his brother on the court and his brother can do the same for him.

He’d be a natural fit with Mike Conley feeding him the ball and him doing vice versa. Add in some shooters, and the Grizzlies will continue to remain a dangerous team in the Western Conference.
