DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup- December 4
High Salary C
Tyler Seguin-Dallas Stars ($8,800): The top pick on the board tonight has to be Dallas center Tyler Seguin. He’s coming off a huge eight-shot, one goal performance and is a must start play tonight. The Stars are the highest-scoring team in the league and are matched up with the Edmonton Oilers, a team with a very porous defense. The Oilers give up three goals a game and haven’t shown an ability to stop anyone. Pay big for Seguin and expect a big night.
Joe Pavelski-San Jose Sharks ($7,700): Palveski is over a thousand dollars cheaper than Seguin, but is producing almost as much. He has the second-highest fantasy points average among centers tonight and faces a promising matchup against a Ducks team that ranks 21st in fantasy points against opposing centers. The Sharks have a lot of fantasy stars to choose from, so grab Palveski tonight, especially if you don’t feel like paying the high price for Sequin.
High Value C
Patrice Bergeron-Boston Bruins ($6,400): The center position tonight offers some real value if you don’t want to spend for the top guys. Take Boston’s Patrice Bergeron for example. He’ll cost you loads less than the top choices, but still has the potential to be one of the top performers of the night. He’s averaging 4.4 fantasy points a game, just two tenths lower than Pavelski. Plus, he gets to go up against the Calgary Flames who rank last in the league in goals allowed.
Aleksander Barkov-Florida Panthers ($5,200): Now back and fully healthy, Barkov makes a great play any night he’s on the ice. He’s still a steal at this price, though it likely won’t stay this low. He gets a bunch of ice time and isn’t afraid to fire at the net. Even when he doesn’t get on the score sheet, he’ll get you points with shots. Tonight he faces Columbus after a game on Thursday in which he recorded an assist. Columbus has been good against opposing centers this year, ranking sixth, but the Blue Jackets don’t have much in the way of defense and allow three goals a game.
Travis Zajac-New Jersey Devils ($3,900): If you are planning on taking some of the big money guys tonight, then Zajac needs to be on your roster. At just $3,900, he makes a great value play. Zodiac sees a lot of ice time and will shoot the puck at will. He’s a threat to score each night and important part of a sneaky good New Jersey team.
