High Salary W

Jamie Benn-Dallas Stars ($8,400): Much like his teammate Seguin, Jamie Benn is a top pick tonight. You’ll have to pay for his production though. However, if he gets a two-goal game like he has twice in his last six contests, you won’t care. He did have a quiet night Thursday, registering just one shot on goal.  Dallas scores a lot, and Benn is a big reason for that. Oh, and don’t forget that tonight he gets to go up against the Edmonton Oilers.

Vladimir Tarasenko-St. Louis Blues ($7,800): Tarasenko could be a bit of a sneaky play tonight. Although he’s an obvious talent, his price tag is high and there’s a small chance he misses the game tonight. That could scare some people off. However, Tarasenko practiced on Thursday and should be good to go for the game against the Islanders. Opposing goalie Jaroslav Halak has been great as of late, but the Islanders have struggled to stop right wingers this season. If he’s on the ice, Tarasenko is too talented to not be in your lineup. There’s plenty of value tonight to offset the cost.

High Value W

Lee Stempniak-New Jersey Devils ($3,800): Because some of the big boys need to be in your lineup tonight, it’s going to be important to find value wherever possible. One such source is Lee Stempniak of New Jersey. He played on Thursday and added his 14th assist of the year. Stempniak is streaky and his goals haven’t been very plentiful lately, but he’s talented, cheap, and has a great matchup against the Flyers. Take a chance on Stempniak.

Joel Ward-San Jose Sharks ($4,600): The value of Joel Ward is no longer a secret. He’s on a pace to set a career-high in points and is benefiting from having several playmakers around him in San Jose. He sees at least 16 minutes a game and averages over two minutes of ice time on the power play. Ward is a great source of assists and will give you a goal every few games as well. Again, you need to find value tonight, and Ward is it.

Tomas Hertl-San Jose Sharks ($4,500): Another Shark makes our list tonight of value wingers. Hertl is a streaky player who doesn’t score a lot, but he’ll earn you points in the other categories. I wouldn’t recommend relying on him and Ward, but one or the other will be good. Don’t forget the Sharks have a favorable matchup with Anaheim tonight, so you should expect to steal some value with a San Jose winger.

Loui Eriksson- Boston Bruins ($5,100): Eriksson still has a fairly low price, and while he doesn’t put the puck in the back of the net very often, he’s an assist machine and sees good power play time. That’s not to say he doesn’t score, he did have a hat trick about two weeks ago. Tonight Ericsson and his teammates have an excellent matchup with Calgary. The Flames not only give up the most goals in the league, but they are also the worst team against opposing right wingers.
