ESPN College GameDay signs: Best of Championship Week Michigan State vs Iowa

Rolling through the best signs from ESPN’s College GameDay down in Indianapolis for Championship Week.

And here we are. It’s been a long, strange trip, but we’ve finally made it to Championship Week in college football. Doesn’t it feel like just yesterday when we were watching Coach, Herbie, Desmond, and a man formerly named Rece were sitting down in Fort Worth gearing up for the Alabama-Wisconsin tilt at JerryWorld.

Alas, as the great Bill Shakespeare once wrote “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages.”

For their final go-round with the major schools, College GameDay decided to take in Championship Week out in Indianapolis. Given the stakes for that game, it’s quite understandable. On one side you have the Iowa Hawkeyes, undefeated though some say untested. On the other, you have the Michigan State Spartans, felled once but extremely fortunate another time.

The game is a play-in for the College Football Playoff. Both teams enter the contest knowing that the march to a national championship starts in Indiana. The time for forgiven losses has long past. Coffee is for closers.
