High Salary C

Sidney Crosby-Pittsburgh Penguins ($7,400): Crosby is always a high-priced fantasy option, but he’s typically always worth it. He put up a goal and an assist yesterday in a loss to Los Angeles. He plays on a good team and is always a threat to stuff the score sheet. Facing a struggling Anaheim team tonight, Crosby could be an anchor of your fantasy lineup tonight.

Steven Stamkos-Tampa Bay Lightning (7,300): The talented Tampa Bay center has been streaky this season, the good news is that when he scores, he does it in bunches. He has two multiple-point games in his last six and is still one of the most talented players in the league. He only managed one shot on goal Saturday, but did record an assist and finish with four fantasy points. Tonight he’ll draw a tough matchup with the Kings, but at a price that’s not astronomical, be confident in using Stamkos.

High Value C

Martin Hanzal-Arizona Coyotes ($4,400): Hanzal, who had been struggling lately, showed up on the score sheet Friday night with an assist against the Sabres. It was his first point in four games, but he has been a solid producer this season, recording 20 points in 24 games. Hanzal sees nearly 20 minutes on the ice each game and has proven to be an assist machine. Tonight he’ll face off against Carolina who ranks 16th in fantasy hockey against opposing centers. Save some money here and take a chance on Hanzal.

Jack Eichel-Buffalo Sabres ($5,100): The rookie has been a bright spot for the Sabres this season, averaging nearly 19 minutes of ice time and putting up 13 points through 26 games. Eichel had an assist against Arizona on Friday, giving him three points over the last five games. Tonight he will be playing in Edmonton, a team that struggles on defense and currently ranks 24th to opposing centers. Eichel makes for a nice value pick tonight.

Jonathan Toews-Chicago Blackhawks ($6,100): Toews has gone four games without recording a point and that might make some fantasy players shy away from the Chicago star. That’s good for you if you choose to employ him tonight. He’s too talented to be held pointless for too much longer and faces a great matchup at home tonight against Winnipeg. If you want some action in the early games, take Toews and hope that today is the day he turns it back around.

Victor Rask-Carolina Hurricanes ($4,400): The young Swede has really come on this season for the Hurricanes. He wasn’t a factor in Saturday’s game with Montreal, recording just one shot, but he has value today due to his price and potential. Rask is averaging close to 18 minutes a game and has been one of Carolina’s top offensive players. The Arizona Coyotes are ranked 28th in goals allowed have struggled on defense this year. That’s good news for Rask, as it presents a great matchup for him to continue to build on his successful season.
