DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup- December 6
High Salary W
Patrick Kane-Chicago Blackhawks ($8,700): Kane has the highest salary among wingers tonight, and it’s not even close. And while the price tag is high, so is the production you’ll get. Kane sees a ton of playing time, both at regular strength and on the all-important power play. He leads the league with 41 points through just 26 games and is only one assist away from the leader Erik Karlsson. You will have to look for cheap value elsewhere if you choose to play Kane tonight, but Chicago’s center will be well worth it.
Phil Kessel-Pittsburgh Penguins ($7,300): Kessel is once again a fantasy target, despite having an unproductive day yesterday against the Kings. The fact that he has the second-highest salary among available wingers tonight, and it’s still $1,400 less than Kane, makes Kessel a great pick tonight. Before failing to register a point yesterday, he exploded on Tuesday for two goals. That’s the kind of potential Kessel has as both an goal-scorer and an assist man. Take another chance on him tonight since back-to-back poor games for Kessel are rare.
Taylor Hall-Edmonton Oilers ($7,000): Taylor Hall also brings an expensive salary to the table tonight, but it’s justified. He had gone six games without a goal before notching one Thursday against Detroit. Tonight he’ll face a middle of the road defense in the Buffalo Sabres and could be in line for a big showing. Hall is a bit cheaper than some of the other top options, but has the third-highest fantasy points average of the guys available tonight.
High Value W
Mike Hoffman-Ottawa Senators ($5,600): Just like Saturday, Hoffman is again a value pick at winger. He continues to put up great production and has the second-highest fantasy points average tonight. He’s been on fire as of late, with a total of six goals in his last four games and three two-goal games in his last six. He fired seven shots and scored a goal against the Islanders Saturday. Today he draws a very tough matchup with the Rangers, but when someone is as hot as Hoffman is right now you have to roll with him.
Adam Henrique-New Jersey Devils ($4,700): Henrique has been a nice surprise for both fantasy owners and the Devils. He is on the ice a ton and has been very productive this season, recording 20 points in 26 games. His salary likely won’t stay under the $5,000 mark for much longer, so take advantage while you can. Although he was shutout on Friday, a zero fantasy points day is a rare occasion for Henrique. Take him tonight and enjoy what he’ll do.
Drew Stafford-Winnipeg Jets ($3,900): Stafford has a great price if you’re trying to stack your roster with some big-time guys. He didn’t end up on the score sheet in Saturday’s game versus Washington, but he does have 13 points on the year and a two-goal performance on Tuesday. While Chicago presents a tough matchup tonight, the Blackhawks have struggled statistically against right wingers. You have to take a chance sometimes to be successful in daily fantasy sports. Stafford is that chance you’ll want to take tonight.
