2. Broncos’ Tough Schedule

The Chiefs currently sit three games back from Denver. With only five games remaining in the 2015 season, they will be relying on other results to challenge for the AFC West division. Thankfully for Kansas City, the Broncos do not have the easiest of upcoming schedules, and there are games that offer them hope.

Firstly, Denver play the resurgent San Diego Chargers twice and host the Oakland Raiders. Any divisional game is tough, but against two franchises with building confidence, it is more than conceivable that the Broncos could drop a game here. The Chargers have had a nightmare season, but Philip Rivers is playing well under center and is always a threat, plus he did manage a big win in Jacksonville on Sunday.

The Raiders, on the other hand, are a young team with a lot of offensive talent. Derek Carr is having an excellent year and rookie Amari Cooper just looks sensational. Furthermore, the evergreen Charles Woodson is still making plays in the secondary and they do pose a threat to anyone they face.

The other two games for Denver are away to Pittsburgh and at home to the Bengals. Both are very difficult games, and Denver will need to win at least one to hold on to their AFC West dominance. The Chiefs need the Broncos to lose a few games. The schedule is not easy and does provide trouble for the current leaders of the AFC West.
