The Minnesota Vikings got off to a hot start, and sitting at 7-2 a few weeks ago looked like they could somehow win the NFC North instead of the struggling Green Bay Packers. Oh, have the fortunes changed. The Vikings have lost two of their last three games, one of which was to the Packers.

Now, sitting at 8-4 after a blow out loss to the Seattle Seahawks, the Vikings are tied with the Packers at the top of the division and trending in different directions. They’re still in the driver’s seat for a Wild Card spot at the moment however, so there is that to cling to.

Still, how could can you feel about holding onto that Wild Card spot or advancing out of the first round after a 38-7 beat down at the handle at the Seahawks.

The Vikings were shut down in every aspect of the game and the Seahawks were able to put on a nearly flawless offensive performance. The Vikings loan touchdown score was a 101 yard touchdown return by Cordarrelle Patterson on a kickoff return.

Next week might not be the time to right the ship for the Vikings either, as they head on the road to play the Arizona Cardinals.
.
