1. Sean Payton

One very likely option to be available in the off-season, would be New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton. While Payton isn’t the type of coach that is going to be fired, it is very possible that the two sides move on start over fresh.

If the Saints wish to try and trade Payton, the Colts should be the first one on the line.

The chemistry that Payton and Drew Brees have had since Brees came to New Orleans, has been one of the greatest combos in NFL history, as Brees has quickly climbed near the top of many all-time statistical categories, thanks in part to Payton’s coaching.

He has a Super Bowl and is one of the most proven coaches in the league. Pairing him and Andrew Luck, could potentially set the Colts up for another 12-15 years of being a top team in the AFC.

If Drew Brees with limited options around him can throw for over 5,000 yards in a season, than so can Luck, who came close to the number in 2014.

He can turn any receiver into a threat, and a guy like T.Y. Hilton could really take off in this league again. Not many coaches have coached a team that can consistently put points on the board as long as Payton has been doing it with the Saints.

It might cost a high pick to get him in Indianapolis, but he is the type of coach that a team should give up a pick for.
