13. Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders … aren’t bad. In fact they’re up and coming. And, believe it or not, their offense is actually pretty potent. Derek Carr is legit, and has been peppered with playmakers to make life easier.

As for the defensive side of the ball, well, that’s a different story. Oakland has been a sieve on defense, allowing the eighth most yards per game and the sixth most points. Mind you this is in a division with the Chargers’ second string, a one-armed, one-legged Peyton Manning and Alex Smith.

In order to to shore up people throwing the ball all over them, Oakland looks down toward the Bayou and pulls Tre’Davious White from LSU.

White has made a living facing the fastest and best wide receivers in the SEC West – one of which will be his soon teammate, Amari Cooper. He’s an athletic corner who can hang with any player in the league, and has lockdown ability.

The AFC West looks ripe for turnover at the moment. San Diego is in flux, Denver, despite the record, appears flawed, and God only knows what’s going on in Kansas City – the Chiefs appear intent on setting up their fans for heartbreak. Another savvy draft or two and Oakland could finally be back to the postseason.
