High Salary G

Henrik Lundqvist-New York Rangers ($8,100): King Henrik deserves consideration for a fantasy roster spot each time he laces up his skates. His 14 wins so far this year has him tied for second with LA’s Jonathan Quick. Lundqvist is going up against a Vancouver team tonight that’s been middle of the road in terms of goals per game. He won his last time out, stopping 23 of 24 shots versus the Senators and has a good chance to keep it going tonight. You’ll pay dearly for him, but Lundqvist makes for a solid fantasy play.

Marc-Andre Fleury-Pittsburgh Penguins ($7,800): Marc-Andre Fleury might not stand out tonight as a top fantasy goalie play, but he should. Sure, he’s lost his last two games, but the weekend is now over. Goalies have to have a short memory and Fleury is sure to have already forgotten his two dreadful games. Up tonight is a battle with Colorado, a team that surprisingly can find the back of the net often. However, it would be rare to see Fleury lose three straight. Many people will likely shy away from his tonight, keeping his ownership down. That’s just one more reason the Pittsburgh netminder makes for a solid play.

High Value G

Mike Condon-Montreal Canadiens ($7,500): There really isn’t much in the way of value goalie picks tonight. Except for Lundqvist, the salaries are all fairly similar. If you’re looking for someone who is cheaper than the top two options but could still bring solid numbers, look at Condon. He’s the main guy in Montreal until Carey Price comes back. That’s a good position to be in, as the Canadiens have a potent offense that helps their goalie out. Selecting the right goalie tonight will be tough. Boston can put the puck in the net, but Condon could have a low number in terms of ownership, meaning he’s just a win away from being a very intelligent value pick tonight.
