New Chicago White Sox third baseman Brett Lawrie showed off his incredible athletic ability.

Brett Lawrie just recently signed with the Chicago White Sox and is ready to bring his fiery spirit and strong work ethic to the squad looking to make moves up the American League Central. While 2015 didn’t go the way Lawrie wanted it to with the Oakland Athletics, no one could ever question his work ethic and his will to win.

Lawrie is an absolute machine and will train as hard as anyone to make sure that he is in top form as a baseball player. Not only does he work hard at hitting and fielding, he’s also extremely athletic as well.

When Lawrie hit the gym, he decided that he was going to do a 66-inch box jump. That’s almost six feet for those keeping score at home.

He then posted the video of his incredible feat –or in this case, feet– to Instagram.

After landing the big jump, Lawrie lets out a yell that only the most mightiest of savages can truly appreciate. For this is no mortal man, this is a man that can probably jump higher than anyone else.

It may not help him with his contact at the plate, but he certainly can leap and steal some line drives from hitters. The White Sox just landed themselves a warrior.
