Fantasy football week 14 studs, duds, and sleepers
RB Sleepers
Isaiah Crowell-Cleveland Browns: The Browns keep changing quarterbacks, but they got their offense going this week against the 49ers by relying on their running back. They gave Crowell a season-high 20 carries, and he piled up 145 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Whether he’ll get this much work going forward or not is unknown, and matchups the next two weeks against the Seahawks and Chiefs make him a high-risk addition for the remaining weeks of fantasy football.
James Starks-Green Bay Packers: Starks was a huge part of the Packers backfield success against the Cowboys. He didn’t get as many carries as Lacy, but he did finish with a pair of touchdowns-one receiving and one rushing. He totaled over 100 yards as well with 71 on his 11 carries and 32 on his four catches.
Tim Hightower-New Orleans Saints: Hightower stepped in for the injured Mark Ingram with a great game against the Bucs taking 28 carries for 85 yards and a touchdown. He added a ten-yard reception on his one target, and Hightower looks to be the early-down feature back for the Saints the rest of the way. With the Lions, Jaguars, and Falcons the next three weeks, Hightower will be high on everyone’s waiver wire priority this week.
Denard Robinson-Jacksonville Jaguars: Robinson took advantage of an injury to T.J. Yeldon and put together a solid line with 75 yards and a touchdown on his 14 carries. “Shoelace” will get enough work while Yeldon is out to be a good option in the Jags’ suddenly potent offense, but Yeldon’s long-term prognosis is unknown at this point making Robinson a high-risk, high-reward gamble.
Bilal Powell-New York Jets: Powell hauled in all five passes thrown his way and finished with 46 yards and a touchdown on his five catches while adding 36 yards on his three carries. He’s a change-of-pace and passing-down specialist, but he makes the most of his touches for the Jets who are solidly in the playoff chase.
