19. team. 46.
How about the stones on Chuck Pagano, eh? Stepping up to the podium after his team was effectively curb stomped by the Jacksonville Jaguars – a team that should be leagues behind the Colts – and drawing comparisons to Indianapolis’s Super Bowl-winning team from 2006-07.

Earth to Chuck: that team had Peyton Manning under center. That team had Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison lined out wide. It had Bob Sanders in his prime. Bill Polian was in the front office. And it also had Tony Dungy roaming the sidelines.

This incarnation has the washed up bodies of Andre Johnson and Frank Gore. The broken down, 40-year old body of Matt Hasselbeck holding things together while Andrew Luck tries to rehabilitate. Oh, and there’s the worthless Ryan Grigson in the office, and a coach whose best year came when he was sidelined and Bruce Arians had the reins.

Indy might very well make the playoffs, and that’s just a testament to how weak the division is. And, really, the Colts better look out. Jacksonville looks primed to make the leap, Houston is a quarterback away from being a legitimate threat in the AFC and Tennessee is a young and hungry team. It wasn’t long ago that the Colts looked young and primed for a Super Bowl; now they look old and decrepit.
. (6-7). Previous: . indianapolis colts
