Previous: . oakland raiders. 14. team. 28.
The Oakland Raiders are showing that they have heart. After losing a tough game to the Kansas City Chiefs on the previous Sunday to all but scuttle any real playoff dreams, the Raiders went on the road and took down the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field, 15-12. The game was ugly but the Raiders were able to capitalize on two fumbles, making the most of their opportunities.

Meanwhile, outside linebacker Khalil Mack is starting to stake his claim as the best at his position. In a division with outside linebackers galore (how about Tamba Hali, Von Miller, Justin Houston and DeMarcus Ware?), Mack might just be having the best season of the bunch. On Sunday, Mack amassed five sacks of Brock Osweiler, exposing Denver’s offensive line for the rancid dumpster fire that it is.

Oakland now faces another must-win game at home against the Green Bay Packers, who seem the have finally rediscovered their magic. At 6-7, Oakland has absolutely no margin for error. If it can win this game, people might start believing that the Silver and Black has a real shot to make the postseason for the first time since 2002. Otherwise, it will be another early offseason for the boys on the East Bay, but a promising one at that.
. (5-7)
