4. Despite being behind, the schedule sits in the Buffalo Bills’ favor.

The Bills are not in an attractive position sitting outside the playoff picture right now, that is for sure. At the same time, they aren’t in a position that is absolutely terrible. Currently, they sit in the hunt in the AFC for the Wild Card spot. There’s no way they have a shot at winning the AFC East because of the New England Patriots who have an 11-2 record, but the Wild Card is a much more realistic goal, especially looking at the Bills schedule.

The Bills have the struggling Washington Redskins, the Tony Romo-less Dallas Cowboys, and New York Jets. All of these are clearly winnable games for the Bills, and winning out isn’t completely out of the question. Combined, the rest of their opponents have a record of just 20-19, which doesn’t make the games look daunting by any means.

What makes things even sweeter for Buffalo is that they have both of their games against the Pats out of the way. The Jets, on the other hand, still have to face Tom Brady and New England once more this season, which can be at least lightly penciled in as a loss in advance for New York. The Patriots, currently boasting a 11-2 record, have been tough to take down for everyone.

The Bills have a doable schedule left, especially compared to some of the other teams they’re competing with to make the playoffs.
