2. Tyrod Taylor, although not an elite quarterback, is starting to heat up, and can do enough to get the Buffalo Bills into the playoffs.
Tyrod Taylor is definitely not an elite quarterback by any means. Heck, Taylor might not even be a playoff quarterback (yet). Despite that, and despite a 5-5 record so far this year, Taylor might just be enough to push the Bills to the playoffs.
Taylor’s history in the league is dismal at best. Taylor was a sixth-round draft pick, and hadn’t started a single game until this season with the Bills. In fact, up until this season, he had only appeared in 14 games. Through last season, he had only completed 19 passes. His mark on the league had been negligible, up until this year.
This season hasn’t been anything much better for Taylor, though. He’s appeared in just nine games, and started eight of them. Up until his game against the Chiefs, most were doubters too, but he left fans having a feeling that he’s ready to heat up. Despite losing that game to the Chiefs, Taylor threw for nearly 300 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. He also ran for 46 yards on five attempts.
That game was the game of Taylor’s career, so far that is. That’s not to mention that he was coming off of a decent showing against the Patriots, where he was injured, and some thought he may have even broken his collarbone. His bounce-back should be seen as a huge positive.
Taylor, although throwing for no touchdowns against New England, threw for 233 yards. Don’t knock Tyrod Taylor. He’s ready to go, and he’s only getting started for the Bills this season.
