UCLA. Kenny Clark. 37. player. 123.
The basis of success in a 4-3 defense begins and end with the front four. When that scheme has defensive line that can stop the run and rush the passer without extra help, it’s a nightmare for offenses because it frees up the linebackers and secondary to do whatever they please.

Having gotten their needed upgrade at running back in the first round, the Dallas Cowboys are free to continue loading up on what is fast becoming a very good defense. One area they should look to bolster is defensive tackle. Nick Hayden has been a disappointment this year next to Tyrone Crawford. He has no sacks and hasn’t done well against the run either.

That would change if Kenny Clark landed in their lap. The UCLA defensive linemen is good enough to go in the first round, so this is a steal at No. 37. Clark is a big body who uses natural leverage to get under the pads of blockers, allowing him to hold his ground and stop the run. His lower body has burst to it, allow him to shoot gaps and apply pressure on the quarterback. Provided his snaps are managed, he can be an interior force.
. DT
