3rd Round – Pick #92

Denver has been a total disaster up front this season. It has been brutal for either Manning or Osweiler to get passes off without getting harassed in the pocket and eventually thrown to the ground like a proverbial rag doll. With that in mind, Elway needs to invest in the front wall and in the third round, could grab center Evan Brohm out of the University of Missouri. Brohm would be a developmental pick who could play either center or guard, giving the Broncos some flexibility on the interior of the line.

Last year, Denver drafted Max Garcia in the latter rounds out of the University of Florida. However, Matt Paradis has played most of the snaps at center this season with Garcia largely watching the proceedings or filling in at guard. Should Garcia work out, the Broncos could have a very young line including Garcia, Brohm and left tackle Ty Sambrailo. At some point, Denver needs to shore up this leaky front before it takes a toll on Osweiler, who is not the most mobile quarterback. Brohm would give Denver some immediate depth and perhaps help them turn into a nice group for the long-term future as well.
