High Salary W

Zach Parise-Minnesota Wild ($7,700): Minnesota’s top left winger is enjoying a fantastic season in which he’s netted 10 goals and nine assists. He’s got points in six straight games  and scored the game-winning goal in back-to-back games during his hot streak. He’s averaging 4 fantasy points a game, hence the reason for the high salary. The Wild play in Nashville tonight against a Predators team that hasn’t been very good at slowing down stop wingers. If you don’t feel like spending on Patrick Kane tonight, take Parise.

Patrick Kane-Chicago Blackhawks ($8,700): Kane is still worth every bit of his high daily fantasy salary. He just had his 26-game point streak come to an end earlier this week, but already has a chance for a new one after recording an assist Thursday. Today he has a good chance at continuing it in his hometown of Buffalo. The Sabres are ranked 18th in points allowed to wingers and Kane could be in for a big day.

Vladimir Tarasenko-St. Louis Blues ($7,900): The Russian is hot, scoring goals in four straight game. He’s registered six points over that stretch and has quickly become a superstar winger. Tarasenko is now producing at a point-per-game clip with 33 points in 32 games. He gets a matchup with Calgary today with the Flames ranked 30th in points allowed to right wingers. He’s only available in the early contests, but Tarasenko is a great play.

Johnny Gaudreau-Calgary Flames ($6,500): The Flames are the hottest team in the league at this moment and some of the once “unknown” players are quickly becoming household names in the fantasy hockey world. Johnny Gaudreau has been a big reason for Calgary’s recent success. He’s got 12 points in his last seven games and is working of a four-game point streak. Today’s matchup in St. Louis is a tough one, but Gaudreau is feeling it right now. His price isn’t too high yet, so plug him into your lineup.

High Value W

Phillip Di Giuseppe-Carolina Hurricanes($2,800): Giuseppe has only played seven games for the Hurricanes since being recalled from the AHL but has been producing at a torrid pace. He has two goals and three assists and just had a big games in Philadelphia Tuesday with two assists. He has recorded a point in four of his last five games and is certainly worth a look at this point in fantasy lineups. He gets to face Pittsburgh tonight, a team that’s been generous in allowing fantasy points to left wingers. He salary is about as low as it goes so he’ll likely be owned by many. Go ahead and jump on the bandwagon with Di Giuseppe.

Lee Stempniak-New Jersey Devils ($4,100): Stempniak was held pointlesss in his last game but still has six points in his last eight games. He’s having a fantastic season with eight goals and 16 assists through 32 games. Stempniak isn’t under the radar anymore, as his production, paired with his low price tag, have made him a target whenever he’s on the ice. Take him tonight against Anaheim and enjoy the production.

Tobias Rieder-Arizona Coyotes ($3,900): If you are looking for a sleeper for your lineup than Tobias Rieder is your guy. Arizona gets easily overlooked in fantasy hockey, but there are a few hidden gems out in the desert. Rieder has four points in his last five games and found the back of the net twice on Thursday versus Edmonton. Using Rieder will save you a lot of cap space and he could be a nice source of production tonight versus the Islanders who ranks 19th against right wingers.

Jeff Skinner-Carolina Hurricanes ($4,400): The 23-year-old winger has really turned it on in the month of December and has been one of the hottest players in the league. He has two hat tricks in his last four games and has shown an ability to stuff the stat sheet. Although he was shut out on Friday he still got earned fantasy points for four shots on goal and has a chance to rebound tonight against Pittsburgh. The Penguins have struggled to stop left wingers this year, setting Skinner up for the potential of another big night.
