High Salary D

Justin Faulk-Carolina Hurricanes ($6,200): Faulk is one of the highest-priced defensemen today and has quietly turned into one of the top blueliners in the season. Although he had a bad game on Friday against Floirda, Faulk is still one of the best options available.  Prior to his goose egg Friday, Faulk had scored points in five-straight games and can be a key piece of fantasy lineups. Tonight he faces a favorable matchup against Pittsburgh, as the Penguins rank 25th in fantasy points allowed to defenseman.

Roman Josi-Nashville Predators ($6,800): Josi is the most-expensive blueliner available tonight. He’s put up nine points over the last nine games and is on pace to pass his career mark of 55 points. Josi leads all defenseman options tonight with 4.3 fantasy points a game and although Minnesota could present a tougher matchup for him, Josi should be a top target for your lineup.

High Value D

Francois Beauchemin-Colorado Avslanche ($5,200): Beauchemin has already been known for his high volume of ice time, but this year he’s finally fully taking advantage of it. The veteran defenseman is on pace for a career year with five goals and 14 assists thus far. He has racked up six points in his last five games and fell one goal short of a hat trick Thursday versus the Islanders. Tonight he’ll face the Oilers and their No. 23 ranking against defensemen.

Drew Doughty-LA Kings ($5,400): Doughty sees a lot of ice time, including on the power play, but isn’t really considered a high-producing fantasy player. He does block a fair number of shots and fires the puck at the net, making him a sneaky play from time to time. He’s coming off a huge game Thursday with a goal and an assist. Take Doughty and hope he can get going.
