New York Jets vs. Dallas Cowboys

The New York Jets are looking to make their way back to the postseason and are likely to finish with a great record in 2015. They’re going to need help along the way to get there if they are going to get in, but their playoff chase hopes start with their game against the reeling Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night.

The Dallas Cowboys were primed to have a big year in 2015, but their season was never able to properly take off. Injuries to vital players, including quarterback Tony Romo, really prevented the team from finding a groove, as they have had to deal with backup quarterbacks the whole season.

Keys to Victory

On Sunday, the New York Jets are going to have to do what they have been the last few weeks, and that’s find their big play weapon in Brandon Marshall. Marshall as a deep threat has opened up the Jets offense for quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and he has shown why he is still one of the more dynamic receivers in the NFL.

Defensively, the Jets are going up against a struggling Cowboys offense. Everyone knows that head coach Todd Bowles likes to dial up a blitz, and he’s going to have to pressure Matt Cassel the entire night with his defense. If the Jets defense can get a consistent pass rush on Cassel, then they will force him into mistakes.

The Dallas Cowboys are going to have to have their best game offensively and limit the turnovers. That means pounding the football on the ground behind their offensive line and slowing the game down. If they can pick up first downs and keep the game at their pace, they will have a shot.
