High Salary W

Patrick Kane-Chicago Blackhawks ($8,700): Kane is the best option available for fantasy hockey because he can stuff the scoresheet every night. Although he had a 26-game point streak snapped, he’s now in the middle of a two-game point streak with an assist Thursday night an a goal on Saturday. He’ll look to make it three games in-a-row against San Jose tonight. The Sharks are ranked 17th in points allowed to right wingers.

Alexander Ovechkin-Washington Capitals ($8,900): It was only a matter of time before Ovechkin broke out of his scoreless stretch. After being shut out for three games, Ovi scored two goals and dished out two helpers Friday night versus Tampa Bay. He is now averaging 5.2 fantasy points and provides excellent production for fantasy owners. The trick is being able to find enough value elsewhere to afford him. There are some quality value picks available tonight, meaning that with some work you’ll be able to fit Ovechkin into your lineup.

High Value W

T.J. Oshie-Washington Capitals ($5,900): Oshie, like his Washington teammates, has been on fire recently. He is up to 21 points on the season with seven in the last three games. He just had a monster game Friday against Tampa Bay with two goals and two assists. He’s been playing on the top line and has been a key producer for the Capitals. Tonight’s matchup is against the Rangers, a team ranked 13th in points allowed to opposing right wingers. Even though his salary has risen lately, he’s still a great value play.

Kyle Palmieri-New Jersey Devils ($4,600): Palmieri has quietly put together a great season in New Jersey, collecting 13 goals and registering 12 assists. He has been hot as of late with seven points in his last eight games. He had a stretch in early December in which he scored a goal in four-straight games and had five scores in six games. He was held without a point on Saturday but makes for a good sleeper pick today in a matchup with Boston.

Teuvo Teravainen-Chicago Blackhawks ($4,200): Teravainen has enjoyed playing on a very talented line with Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa. He has eight goals and eight assists this year and found the back of the net twice and added an assist on Thursday against Edmonton. He didn’t show up on the scoresheet Saturday but gets a favorable matchup with San Jose today. If you are looking to save money, roll with Teravainen in your lineup.
