42.
The San Francisco 49ers lost 24-14 to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 15. While no NFL team obviously wants to lose, that doesn’t look like a particularly bad loss on the surface. However, make no mistake about the fact that the 49ers put together one of the most unconvincing 10-point losses of the 2015 NFL season.

Blaine Gabbert and the Niners simply looked disinterested for the entire first half of this game, as did his offensive line that allowed the Cincinnati defense to simply have their way with disrupting the offense. They were down three touchdowns at the half when fans started leaving Levi’s Stadium after showering the Niners in boos on their way into the locker room.

There’s not been anything for San Francisco to play for this season for quite some time, but they have at least shown some signs of promise on occasion in recent weeks. The most positive things to happen in Week 15 were a couple of garbage time touchdowns when the game already felt out of reach and recovering an onside kick. That onside kick is pretty defining of the 2015 49ers, though. They recovered it, but only before Gabbert turned the ball over just two plays into the drive. That’s pretty much all you need to know about this team.
. (4-10). Previous: . san francisco 49ers. 32. team
