Previous: . new york jets. 11. team. 30.
Congratulations, Jets, you beat a Dallas Cowboys team that benched Matt Cassel for Kellen Moore. It took you four quarters to pull off the thrilling 19-16 victory, but you did it. How do you feel about yourselves? Good? Good.

End of the day, the Jets are 9-5 and riding a four-game winning streak. For good, bad or fugly, they’ve found ways to win games. Against the lowly Dolphins and Titans there contests were blowouts. Against the Giants and Cowboys, there were tightly fought victories.

Next Sunday will be a good litmus test for the Jets to see how ready they are for the postseason (assuming they get in). The Jets will be at home where they will face the dominant New England Patriots. When the two teams faced off earlier in the year it took 14 fourth quarter points for the Pats to put away the Jets.

In order to pull out an upset on December 27, the Jets will need a stronger rushing performance from their backs. Chris Ivory will have to go off – 13 carries for 37 yards ain’t gonna cut it, because Ryan Fitzpatrick isn’t going to throw for 300 yards every game (technically 299 against Dallas).

Depending on how next week shakes out, a Week 17 in-state showdown with the Buffalo Bills could determine whether the Jets see the postseason. Given all the offseason turmoil surrounding this team, who would’ve thought we’d be saying that 15 weeks into the season.
. (9-5)
