team. 45.
The Denver Broncos have a terrific defense but it failed them in a huge way on Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field. Denver was leading 27-10 in the second quarter but allowed 24 consecutive and unanswered points, leading to its fourth loss in seven games. With the defeat, the Kansas City Chiefs are only one game back in the AFC West after trailing by five games after six weeks.

In addition, the Chiefs have the better AFC West record, meaning Denver will likely have to win out to secure the division ahead of the surging Chiefs. Denver’s other concern is a rancid offense that does not seem to get the job done very often. The group was on fire in the first half against Pittsburgh but then completely fell apart, mostly because of a lackluster offensive line and a non-existent running game.

The Broncos must figure out what is going on with the offense, or the playoff run will be very short-lived in the Mile High City. Look for Denver to bounce back in a very tough game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football, if for no other reason it is at home. Should the Broncos lose this game, they could be facing a possible elimination game in Week 17 against the San Diego Chargers.
. (10-4). Previous: . denver broncos. 6
