13.
Good on the San Diego Chargers. It’s been one helluva season (not in the good way), but good on them for ringing out the home slate with a dominant win over the Miami Dolphins. Sunday’s contest was likely the final game that the franchise will ever play in San Diego, so it’s nice to see them send their fans off with a victory.

Phillip Rivers was his customary self: all over the place. There’s the great yardage and completion numbers: 26-for-36 for 311 yards. A decent touchdown number: three. And the frustrating bit of interceptions: two. All in a day’s work for filthy Phil.

And stop the presses, but there was a Donald Brown sighting. These days the only time you see him is in a re-tweet or re-Vine of Peyton Manning’s classic “God damnit, Donald” moment. Brown rushed for 90 yards on 12 carries, and looked much better than Melvin Gordon who continued his middling season with 41 yards on 15 rushes.

San Diego will now finish out the season with road contests against the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos – both difficult games. No matter how they play out, the Chargers won their most important contest of the year: delivering one final W for the fans, should this, in fact, be the end of an era down in sunny SoCal.
.
