Philadelphia 76ers

Giving the front office of the Philadelphia 76ers a wish list would be an abomination. This once proud franchise is an embarrassment to not only the NBA, but sports in general. The hiring of Jerry Colangelo will help change things for the better. His first order of business is to find a veteran player or two who is willing to endure losing with the intentions of teaching the young talent how to be professionals. A

Colangelo would have been masterful in dealing with the recent week from hell center Jahlil Okafor experienced. Having a few veterans would have been beneficial as well.

Just the understanding of what places to visit during free time, how to conduct business on the road, even the simple advice on hiring a driver is something that a sage could teach Okafor. What happened with him made fans look at him differently. Sadly, losing could bring out the worst in a player. What is worst is that the culture in Philadelphia is based on losing. It cheats the fans who spend their hard earned money to catch a game, only to be treated to a roster full of young players in need of a guiding hand.

Along with adding veterans, finally getting Joel Embiid to play in an actual basketball would go a long way.

The Philadelphia 76ers need to be relevant again. Jerry Colangelo has his hands full here.
