Phoenix Suns

Trade Markieff Morris!

The one thing on the wish list of the Phoenix Suns should be to trade away their disgruntled power forward.

It is no coincidence that the play of Morris has trended downward ever since the Suns unloaded his twin brother, Marcus to the Detroit Pistons. Not only has Markieff embarked on a near season-long shooting slump, the defense is just not there. Phoenix benched him behind Jon Leuer as a measured move of giving him a spark. That is a waste of time. The friendly contract of the remaining Morris twin should make him an attractive trade chip. Phoenix can get a draft pick, a veteran power forward, perhaps a legitimate backup for Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe. Whatever type of asset the Suns can obtain for Morris will do better than having him wasting away on the pine.

There is a report about the Suns having discussions with the Houston Rockets about Morris.

According to House of Houston, the Rockets would be willing to send forwards Terrence Jones and Corey Brewster in an exchange. Usually, because the league rules require teams who want to consummate a trade to have the incoming and outgoing salaries be within 15 percent of each other, deals are not made the way they were made in the past. The salaries match here.
