Round 2: Spencer Drango, G – Baylor

Honestly, the Minnesota Vikings can’t allow Brandon Fusco to be a starting left guard in the NFL anymore and Mike Harris has been playing so well at right guard that moving him back makes no sense. That’s why bringing in a guy like Drango is a great idea for the team at the 2016 NFL Draft.

The Baylor offensive lineman is drawing some flattering comparisons from draft experts, including CBS Sports’ Dan Brugler, who says that Drango resembles Cowboys offensive lineman Zach Martin. The only reason he’s likely to drop to the end of the second round is a back issue that required surgery in November of 2013.

However, that injury doesn’t seem to have made much of an impact on his play, as Drango looks to be one of the most skilled and versatile offensive linemen in the draft class. If he can prove that his back isn’t an issue going forward and he has a good combine, he could see himself moving up in the rankings and out of the Vikings range, but for now he’d be the best option for picking up a guard in the second round.
