Following the debacle that was the Miss Universe announcement, Miss Colombia issued a statement.
Some of the biggest news to come out of Sunday night had really nothing to do with the world of sports, rather a lot of the talk centered around the debacle that was the end of the Miss Universe pageant. For those of you that, for one reason or another, might not know what took place, here’s the gist: Steve Harvey announced Miss Colombia as the winner, the celebration was on, Harvey screwed up, Miss Philippines was really the winner, chaos ensues.
Yeah, it was … not the best moment to have on live national television, especially if you’re Miss Colombia, who basically had her whole world come crashing down in front of her for all of us to see.
Still, despite that probably being the worst moment of her life, Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo, has seemed to be handling things about as well as one could. Recently, she took this graciousness a step further by issuing a statement on Instagram.
Really, you do have to admire the way that she’s handling all of this. Not many people out there would be able to take these happenings the way that Arevalo has.
